I agree!! The airborne bit was actually saying "Airborne".
Ref the position reports just "Hamilton VOR 35" should do?
Re overseas, yup, very standard there, esp when english is not their first language.
Try Scandhoovia for example... huge fun. Mind you, we did get the Swedish controlers saying "Gidday"...
