I have always had the feeling that a BA/Monarch sale would make sense. It gives them more slots at Gatwick, and with a lower cost base than they used to have, a real opportunity for the BA brand to return to the regions (we have also seen a little of this with the GLA-SZG route, as well as the summer routes from Stansted).
