I am a little surprised at the lack of progress regarding the drop off area, as it will have the greatest impact this summer regarding congestion. At the moment the entrance to the drop off area is from the west but it will eventually be from the east by Taxiway Delta at the opposite end of the drop off area so a new road has to be constructed through the existing short term car park. Also a bridge has got to be built that not only crosses this new road but also part of a new section of drop off area. I can't see why two of the three existing drop off lanes can't be extended now as this is part of the final solution using the existing entrance.
A way to speed things up is for the contractor to employ a few more workers as they do seem to be a bit understaffed some weeks.
