The Lufthansa Ju-52 is a genuine Junkers (I believe the Salis aircraft is CASA built) and has a fantastic history - spent many years in the US owned by Martin Caidin before returning to Europe in the mid-80s - and had been back across the Pond since, presumably when you saw it. Think it has P&W engines though as spares for the appropriate BMWs are apparently hard to come by!
