Not all industries participate it back stabbing. It seems that the industries that do are the ones that have scurrilous individuals who will attempt to screw you over at every turn. There are some industries such as IT which I am employed in currently that don't . I guess the reason for this is amount of unspecialised employees so there is no need to partake.
I can't see things improving when you have thousands upon thousands of wannabe aviators vying for what is regarded as made it. Whatever that may be. I guess its seeped into the industry and like it or not (as I don't) its here to stay. Jealously is a curse and a human trait that won't subside in this case.
