Yes, you don't need to do it all again

Good news is you have passed the PPL in the past and it can be brought up to date as an EASA PPL or UK PPL (so no exams). The training is actually therefore for a Single Engine Piston (Land) class rating to go on said EASA PPL (your original licence is converted when you apply for the class rating). You will need the Class 2 medical for an EASA PPL. Consider the other types of PPL if you they fit your needs better (eg microlights).

As previous poster mentions you might want to kill 2 birds with one stone and make your "free" flying efficient by doing something at the same time (eg. Tailwheel, CS prop). Clearly it needs to be something you'll use though.

A RAFFCA club is definitely the way to go but I've used Thruxton too to achieve CRI, night and IMC.
