Point of order halas. Ansett was the launch customer for the -200, not the A320 itself.
It also helps when your corrupt boss is best mates with a corrupt PM. Especially when you realise that the aircraft, purchased on a whim at the Paris airshow, was supposed to replace the B727-277LR for the SYD-PER route and had to have the "rules" changed to allow it to operate that very same route!
You know, I really don't miss that awfull buzzing noise the A320 made!
