I remember fondly the introduction of the A320 . We used to refer to it as the A160 --- it turned out to be only half the aircraft that Airbus told Abeles it would be. Word was that he got them that cheap that their book value was much more than what he paid for them . Turned out to be a pretty good and serviceable aircraft though.
