Weekly redevelopment update

The modular drainage system continues to be installed opposite the Holiday Inn Express that will sit under, part under or by the duel carriageway. So far it is around 100m long with one end just starting to be covered over with earth.

After three months and one week of building the foundations of two of the bases for the covered walkway are now complete. The steel work started to arrive yesterday and looks like it will be erected next week.

Work on the multistory car park foundations is continuing at a fast pace by Buckingham Group Contracting. A temporary road has been laid by Whitemountain to take traffic away from the middle section of what will be the multistory car park. This new route has yet to open and still needs finishing off and a full set of fencing has still to be put in place.

Last week I mentioned that foundations had gone in for either part of a walkway or a temporary shelter as parts were on site. This week by those foundations the ground is being raised and leveled to take the dip out.

The mud mountain for the new taxiway at the 26 end continues to grow.

Both the McLaughlin & Harvey compounds that are located on the main apron and the eastern apron are still to be opened.

No work has taken place over the last 10 days on what will be the drop off area.

The latest 4 coach bays are now complete but still fenced off.

The terminal infill is still having holes dug and then lightly filled.
