Am I right in saying that the 4 remaining bus bays will be open soon or is there still a bit of work to do.
There is still another 3 bays to be built but that will be a long way off as access is required behind them. I would say the new bays being finished off will open in a couple of weeks but the coach maneuvering area has still to be tarmacked and is at the wrong height.
When do you suspect the multi story will be complete?
Allegedly around October. It was meant to be finished for the summer rush but like everything is months behind schedule due to late starting. At the moment the exit route passes through the middle of the car park so there is a gap in the work taking place.
When will the construction of Pier B be commencing?
Don't know, but it is meant to be a 16 month job. The other compound and village on stand 9L, which will control work on pier A and the immigration hall extension is still shut up and unoccupied. The terminal contractor who will occupy both compounds are already working on site.
Are they currently working on the new entrances into the terminal?
Behind the hording in the terminal contractors are stripping out offices and services. The counters have already been temporarily moved to the check-in area but on the outside of the terminal nothing has happened yet. The other second entrance for arrivals will be incorporated into the terminal extension.
