My further thoughts. The new Luton Airport Enterprise Zone, around 395 acres in size, will consist of three linked sites surrounding Luton Airport: Stirling Park, Century Park and Airport Business Park.
Could it be that a 'rail' system will connect all three sites, not just the airport? This would undoubtedly mean a tunnel under the airport from adjacent to Luton Parkway out to Century Park? The Enterprise Zone has promised to deliver 10,000 jobs and no doubt a sustainable transport policy would mean a promise of public transport availability?
I have extracted this from the Century Park Facebook page....Century Park will be Designed as a mixed use development, it benefits from outline planning permission for a total of 143,025 sq m across a range of unit sizes. This provides for 123,291 sq m of office, industrial and warehouse space; a 18,573 sq m hotel with 1,161 sq m of ancillary leisure together with 10,446 sq m of retail accommodation.
The close proximity to London Luton Airport makes it suitable for occupiers seeking airport related uses, as well as for general employment purposes.
