The new apron and building continues to grow at Signature.
No activity yet on opening up the compound on Stand 9L while the compound and building site for the new pier is still being fenced.
The windows by the check-in desks have been closed off thus blocking the view together with the area where one of the two new entrances will go.
Work continues on the foundations of the passenger footbridge between the short term car park and the multi story car park.
Work continues on excavations for part of the multistory car park. With the existing exit road passing through what will become the car park work is confined to the former easyjet HQ site.
No work has started yet on either extending the ring road from the south stands or the drop off area.
Four more coach bays are going in across the former bus station making a total of fifteen. A site access route will prevent any more bays going in until the terminal is finished. Also a new passenger route is being created, which is yet to open, to move passengers away from the existing crossing point .
At the moment the old pedestrian crossing remains open but to the left of this photo the tarmac has been marked up for digging out. The fence on the right marks the edge of the terminal extension.
The first excavations occurred yesterday for the new duel carriageway after the car park fence was removed this week.
