I've been reading the posts about new Summer 2016 services by Vueling and Transavia and runway capacity with interest. Looking at airline websites I've found the morning movements on Monday 20th June 2016 as follows:
05.00 - 05.59 2 (2 dep)
06.00 - 06.59 17 (15 dep, 2 arr)
07.00 - 07.59 31 (20 dep, 11 arr)
08.00 - 08.59 26 (15 dep, 11 arr)
Looking at the schedules, I see 33 aircraft on the ground overnight at Luton - easyJet 19, Ryanair 5, Monarch 4, Thomson 3, Wizzair 2.
Out of interest, I make 322 total movements - easyJet 130, Wizzair 94, Ryanair 36, Monarch 18, Thomson 10, Blue Air 10, Vueling 8, VLM 4, El Al
4, Transavia 4, Atlas 2 and La Compagnie 2.
It's certainly going to be a busy summer!
