Would have thought it would be better to get the next 12 months out of the way first before trying to attract new business. The airport struggles to cope with high numbers so why make a bad situation worse in trying to attract new airlines when the existing airlines are adding to the problem?

Insufficient capacity affects different parts of the airport at different times of the day so there are no quiet periods. If the departure lounge has spare capacity then at the same time the approach road might have queue of traffic that extends all the way to the A505. The check-in area could be empty while at the same time passengers are waiting for an hour for their luggage.

It will be interesting to see how the capacity of the CTA will be affected this summer with the whole area one big building site. The priority will be to get the new drop off area completed in the spring even if it is still accessed from the old road network.
