Another point to note is that if someone gets dropped off on the south side of the new drop off area they can't walk around the edge of the drop off area as there is no pavement on the horseshoe but a raised embankment of grass. There is already minor traffic holdups as people cross the drop off lanes but this will get worse as passenger numbers increase.
