This week has seen the start of the kerbing being laid for the new roundabout. The thicker straight edged kerbing on the left marks the start of the station shuttle bus stop.
The shape of the old CTA roundabout can be seen by the layout of the red barriers. When all the new roads in the CTA are complete members of the public won't be able to access this roundabout as this will be a restricted area open only to buses, black cabs and service vehicles.
The 9 bus bays so far completed were all concreted this week. Also tarmac has been laid in the maneuvering area with the level raised by at least 2 feet in places but there is still plenty of tarmacking to be done including the top layer.
Tarmacking of the exit route has now reached what was the entrance to the staff car park. The road will be widened at this point for the 11 exit barriers and the entrance to the multistory car park.
