The CTA roundabout has been marked out and is now being dug out for its partial removal. A new smaller roundabout will follow but in a slightly different location.
The first of the bus bays has had concrete laid with other bays having reinforcement steel bars fitted in readiness for concreting.
Tarmac has been laid from from almost the drop off area to half way along the south stands for the new exit road.
From November 2nd a section of short term car park will close as the new road has to cut a new path through it to allow space to be created for the new multistory car park. Also the road will be stretched to eleven lanes to allow for 4 exit barriers for the short term car park. 5 exit barriers for the drop off area and 2 exit barriers for the multistory car park. All these barriers will be side by side in what is now the short term car park.
The date for the completion of the multistory car park is now August/ September. With a big chunk of the short term car park lost there will be interesting times next summer.
The photo shows the road being dug out as it curves away from the south stands by the entrance to what was the staff car park. This road will continue into the short term car park.
Fencing is now being put up around the mid term car park extension.
