This is a great move on their part, and very brave. I have a sneaking suspicion that the superjet is a gem of an aircraft and WX stand to gain a lot.
Brave all right but how come then that the russians could not sell it to any high profile airline yet? (Please don't mention Aeroflot here).
Interjet in Mexico can't get them quick enough and the dispatch reliability is brilliant.
Even russian and other ex-soviet airlines claimed otherwise. What could have changed? Russia was not able to make any real quality product in the last 30 year; looking at its history I'm afraid that the Superjet isn't one either.
