I agree with TightSlot, there may be a point when u find the crew cart.....empty! I realise that u arent complaining SkyBlue, like I said its all about having the choice. At one of my previous airlines that I worked for, if u did have any special dietary needs, such as wanting a low fat option , then u could request such a meal on each flight that u operated. I understand that that may not be available on every airline tho.
Most of the girls on our airline prefer bringing their own low fat meal onboard , and I think they like it that way. They can control their own individual food consumption more easily. I have to say that also there is the question of space availability on some aircraft, this makes it much more difficult for the catering guys to load ENOUGH of each choice , such as more fruit etc.
