Peel also own Liverpool and Doncaster airports. I believe that both of these are losing significantly more money than Teesside. Liverpool having lost traffic recently. Doncaster is a lot quieter than Teesside. Do we hear constant threats of these closing?
Regarding the pensions. The LGPS was closed to new members from the airport when Peel took over. The staff affected by this threat have all been at the airport since before then.
