I remember reading the master plan and can't remember pensions being debated, though I am here to be proved wrong. The master plan was billed as the way to secure the airport.
Now, some time later, there is an apparent new threat to close based on pensions.
Whatever the merits of this and various other points, I just wish someone would figure out how to achieve a good news story at this place. The last few years has been riddled with self inflicted wounds and when it isn't self inflicted, there is a 'nowt to do with us gov approach' to their
PR.
I want to see passion, drive, accountability, ownership, clear plans, visibility, a well oiled
PR machine, commercial credibility, a sound business plan and a team that own up to their mistakes and put things right when they go wrong. Failing that, a few of the above attributes would be a start.
Most of us in the real world of business and commerce would call this list of attributes a pre-requisite for running a business....
I don't usually rant but even I am starting to tire now.....
