I admire your aspiration but you do seem to get very carried away sometimes with your favoritism towards LTN
LOL- Pot/Kettle - come on FR your unswerving rose tinted support of STN on these forums verges on the emotional.

its catchment area is so much greater than that of STN
Not strictly true - natural STN catchment is geographically much larger and has slightly more population, however it is less wealthy with lower propensity to fly which makes Luton the "stronger" as opposed to the "larger" catchment. Of course in reality catchments do get blurred by price, route and product offerings.

the only reason both have chosen STN is its runway
Correct - even the much hyped 787 can't do Cancun off Luton's runway (in high density config) and for Thomson Orlando and Cancun are an unseperable combo for long haul. Also as Skipness rightly muses TOM want to spoil T Cook's party in defence of terrritory they consider their own (South Midlands/North London).

"Furnace Air - the flights from Hell" I can see it now, who do I send the PR consultation invoice to?
