Wizz Air will be paying rock bottom prices to their handling agent. In the time I spent working on their contract we reduced their handling costs by almost 40% within an 18month period. Clearly not sustainable and my company at the time were not going to be bullied. It was a relief to some when they had gone but I for one did miss the madness.
In all fairness Wizzair are a major player for LTN and any such threats should be taken seriously, although I highly doubt they will go anywhere, they will negotiate a cheaper deal and stay put.
Take the baggage handlers comments with a pinch of salt (The chap I know claimed Emirates were thinking of LTN with a B77W
).....unless he is the son of Jozsef Varadi I highly doubt he knows the ins & outs of what Wizzair are thinking!!
