Gilesdavies Thomson are planning such long haulers but from Stansted not Luton sadly. My hope is that once Luton's expansion plans come to fruition they might be persuaded that the upgraded facilities merit long haul flights from Luton instead.
As you say, very probably a pipe dream.
Good news that El Al are getting Dreamliners which could comfortably use Luton, meaning wide bodied operations once the 767 goes could be assured which would be great news.
As for the Top 10 destinations, I'm surprised that with Dublin at number 4, Ryanair still only have 3 daily flights. I imagine they could easily go to 4 or even 5 on some days given how popular the route remains. Interesting that Glasgow ranks higher than Ediniburgh when on most days there are more flights to Edinburgh than to Glasgow. No doubt Copenhagen will usurp one of these top 10 routes when next years list is announced.
