We probably have a far higher chance of seeing EL AL's 787's operating services from Luton, than we will ever have with the airports own residential airline that operates the 787!
I still live in hope that now Thomas Cook are starting to operate Long Haul services from neighbouring Stansted, Thomson might react and defend their market share in the North London area, and operate a few Long Haulers from the airport.
But it is probably a pipe dream!
Luton must have some of the lowest percentages of charter traffic, compared to other UK airports. With all the other major/regional airports maintaining a decent presence.
