The Ailerons on the mighty triple are quite sensitive and easy to over control causing PIO. Been there in those weather situations more than once and have the Tee shirt to prove it...
Still much prefer it over the A330......
The rhythm of the repeated banks look Like PIO to me. Turbulence wouldn't cause that steady wing rocking.
