Yeah man that is GOOD news ...
if BA start to recruit again, not that there'll be any BA jobs for the likes of us wannabes but it could cause a major clear out of the regionals and low cost airlines ... bring it on I say!
In fact the tide has already turned, I know several wannabes who've been waiting patiently and instructing for the last couple of years who've had the golden phone call in the last few weeks, the only real piece of the puzzle that's missing now is for BA to resume recruitment and it'll be almost 'ops normal' although it may take a while to clear the backlog of people who've been waiting.
The only thing that could really screw it up for us now, is one of the big financially troubled tour operators going bust over the winter just as BA start to crank up the recruitment. That or Osama bin Laden taking out Canary Wharf. Or a huge SARS outbreak in Fulham. Or ...
In fact it's all still as fragile as f**k come to think of it, but it's nice to hear that people are starting to get jobs again. Fingers crossed, vive la resurgence!
