I always like to defend DXB when I can, I've never had any problems personally with DXB, I can only think of two minor inconveniences, both occuring on the same trip in August last year, my most recent passage through DXB.
1.) Arrival from NCL held for over half an hour-ish, 2/3 orbits, still landed early though
2.) Delayed over an hour on stand DXB-BKK, something to do with cargo loading then lost our slot, still only marginally late into BKK (something like 15 minutes I think)
Nothing to write home or complain about
I really want to know what's going to happen with DXB/DWC, my thinking is:
- Flydubai out to DWC ASAP
- All other airlines move out at some point...
- EK left at DXB as the sole carrier
- Late 2020's EK/FZ swap places
- Eventually when all 4 concourses at DWC open, all carriers move to DWC. DXB to close? Don't know
