The easyJet car park in front of the tower is to close on the 30th June. The new site of the contractors village perhaps?
Actually it could be a possibility that the contractors will use the former easyjet HQ building and car park as their village. One contractor is already located in the old easyjet building that is working in the terminal.
The old easyjet site will be the location for half of the multistory car park so it all depends when they intend to start work on that project, which was meant to have been brought forward to phase 1.
Until the multistory car park is finished and open the short term car park will be much smaller than it is now when it is modified as part of the new CTA. Bearing in mind that this car park is now often full and closed so things can only get worse. Lets hope that after 50 years it will be resurfaced properly this time.
It also poses the question what will the multistory car park be used for. Will that be short term car park number 2? Will part of it be a staff car park? Note that the multistory car park has a bigger footprint than hangar 89.
