This is the existing route all passengers take after passing through security but this route and the shops either side will be converted into two big retail outlets during the redevelopment. Passengers will follow a different path lined with shops to be constructed during the redevelopment that will pass through the terminal extension.
This is one of the airports piers. It will be filled in to make it wider in places within the next two years. Another pier looking just like this one will be built to serve the existing remote stands on the eastern apron and will also be used as a busing point for the south apron.
