Got it too, but after 15 years in an air force helmet, 6 years in another helmet type, 11 years with a regular David Clark headset, 6 years of a noise reduction headset, and 6 years of a regular helmet.
Being deaf has its advantages, you can safely ignore the wife's moaning because she screeches and it's too high to hear, and you sleep better at night without hearing the dog f@rt or walls creak. But there are a lot of missed calls on my phone, even on ring and vibrate it gets missed. Tried keeping the phone in my undies but found that I kept ringing my own number.
