Fascinating write-up, thank you. It reminded me of a time I took an open glider trailer to Idaho and had to modify it on-site to bring a Blanik back to Canada. Not on the scale of your adventure, but at least I didn't have to worry about the wood I used meeting quarantine requirements!
What was the damage to the Teal? Do you have any pictures of your trip?
