The airport has a very ad-hoc design purely because of the constraints of the Airports footprint and the fact that there has never really been a long term vision or money available( until now , maybe), nor some may say a experienced operator until now.
It is very easy to criticise but LTN has never had the luxury of wide open spaces to build a purpose built terminal such has happened at STN.
They are IMHO doing the best they can with the options they have.
It will never be fantastic but with time I hope it will improve the passenger experience.
My concerns are still with the seating capacity, I am not convinced the space they will create will be used for nice open areas of seating but more and more retail.
Time will tell
