L1011 operating Volare Airlines subcharter turns back!
An L1011 Tristar operated by the Portugese company "Yes" turned back to Milan Malpensa earlier today after experiencing engine problems during the take off role. The flight to Cuba was subchartered by Volare Airlines, to operate under an Air Europe flight number.(fact). .(Taken from TV News). .After assurances from the flight crew that the aircraft was later fit to depart once again a vote was taken amongst the passengers who decided that it would be more prudent to remain on terra firma! Some pax later departed on a replacement aircraft!. .(personal comment). .The times they are a changing! Somebody once told me to encourage pax not to get off a busted airplane if it could be fixed as once off they will probably decide not to get on again & will demand all their luggage back!!!!. .In this case the crew were somewhat left out of the equation me thinks!
