kcockayne, I think you're perhaps being a bit unfair in your assessment of BE management. Having cut a load of capacity across the network and grounded some aircraft since 2013, with the rest of the UK as close as we're likely to get to an economic boom the market is placing pressure on Flybe to grow again (look at its share price). So, often with a view to maxing out yields, management are trying out lots of different ideas at once - seeing what might have potential and what won't.

Opening the LCY base (and the re-allocation of capacity/chopping and changing of routes since) and the FlyShuttle concept are two examples of this. You are of course entitled to voice your opinions and your criticism, but you asked what you could trust about Flybe. I'd suggest that there'd be a lot more cause for alarm if BE was continuing to run services which were consistently lossmaking in spite of that.

Flybe has changed a lot but there's clearly more to do. No doubt some mistakes will be made, but have patience. The fact that Flybe announced in Jan that it expects to break even this year is testament to the fact that it's a very different airline these days. That in itself indicts the fact that the new management is far from useless.
