Have to say I am not a fan of LTN either - have used it probably about 15 times in the last 2 years. However I am only in it for a couple of hours before jetting off so am I really bothered by it enough to not use it?? No. However I will be very very happy when the roadworks are completed - it makes any departure around 9-10am a nuisance because if needing to use the airport checkin desks I seem to get caught up in the office worker rush hour and it's not pleasant.
LTN started off small, and has had everything built up around it over a number of years. A lot of it is in need of repair or replacement but Rome wasn't built in a day and it will get better.
It's great for them and for us paying passengers to have a bit of choice. I love Easyjet and the variety of routes as I love Monarch and Wizz (not Ryanair - I hate them!!) but a few other carriers to offer a selection of new routes is a welcome addition to the airport network.
