Luton was bobbing around for years with yearly passenger figures below 2 million and had next to no scheduled services.
If someone had said in around 1990 that Luton would hit figures of over 10 million passengers with a 5 fold increase and all but 5% of them would be on scheduled services I think many posters here would have found that hard to believe.
Many things could happen over the years like a major increase in Ryanair activity or hourly services to many Eastern European countries by Wizz as millions more move to the UK for the good life.
