Peel are a powerhouse and have far too much muscle for anyone to stand in their way - no matter how hard myself and many others would try - if they ever tried to close the airport, so do you think they would give half a toss what people would think of them as a result?? Therefore, they could have shut the place down five minutes after they originally purchased it in 2003 or claimed there were no interested parties and shut the place when it was placed up for sale two years ago. If they want to close the place, they're missing some easy opportunities to do so.
For all I know there may well be a hidden agenda, but I can say with some certainty that at this time of writing it does not involve the closure of the airport. At a push the terminal might one day close, but still very unlikely.
I'd like to see you or many others on here do a better job.
