The current comment should probably be taken to understand that they are leaning towards a surface-to-air missile, but they can't rule out a Ukrainian Su-25, a meteorite, debris from a disintegrated spy satellite, or a particularly powerful (high-energy) hex cast on the aircraft or one of its passenger by a voodoo priest.
