EC 120 Maintenance plan
Hi, the ec120 is the bottom line of Aerospatiale Helicopters, the R66 is the top line of Robinson Helicopters, w. RR engine.
So in this forum one compares 4 cylinder mnf's with turbine pro's offering a wide range of turbine choppers, even to US Authorities ?
Thus, let's talk maintenance, ec120 schedule is :
15hrs by the pilot or approved person (can be the pilot)
500 hrs
1500 hrs
12000 hrs or 12 yrs
engine Arrius is scheduled at 0.033 Man*Hrs per flight hr.
That's it.
So, how many hours does it take to have to rebuld your R66 enterely ?
I personally know one CEO managing 51 EMS twin helis and a simu in Germany. They are currently replacing BK117 by ec142T2 (enhanced power & fenestron TR). They trust in EC's. Curious, or ??? For his pilors I mer, an ec120 is just a toy for rich private owners.
