getting turboprops to take off before 0600 at SYD

this seems like a really good idea. Not sure why last thread was closed.

0600 must be a really busy time at SYD every morning.

By encouraging the turboprops that were scheduled to depart between say 0600 & 0700 to depart before curfew ends, would free up a lot of slots.

Really important on those bad weather days, when things get backed up & time doesn't get made up during the day & end of day flights might have to be cancelled.

Might be a stretch is flight was scheduled at 0700 but if it was scheduled at 0615, might be a huge time saving for those passengers.

"at SYD why don't regionals like Rex take off before 0600 ? They are not subject to curfew. Surely no slot issues to be concerned with, which must be hard to get at 0600.

There must be dozens of flights taking off & landing at SYD from 0600 - 0630, so the queue must be long.

As the big boys jets can't take off or land before 0600, even an 0550 departure would surely miss the queues, rather than schedule at 0600 but take off at 0615 or later.

BNE now has heaps of departures between 0500 & 0600 (to SYD, MEL & CBR to start with) thanks to daylight saving.

The big boys wouldn't schedule them departures at BNE before 0600, if people didn't book them

+ if they didn't use main terminals, there wouldn't be any security charges either. Think they could use FBO's, but then might be messy for connecting passengers."
