I seem to remember Globespan lpl/ny being 757?
When it was launched as a service, it was advertised as a B757.

The reality was that the knackered old B757 that Globespan had leased from Icelandair (I believe though happy to be corrected) was clearly at the end of its lifespan as it spent more time broke than in the air.

I was an ATCO at Liverpool during the Globespan years and the usual delay for the flight was around 6hours.

The beginning of the end for Globespan at Liverpool came when they started using a B738 on the service. Which would have been fine if they had bothered to tell passengers in advance, which they didn't.

It meant that if a passenger paid for a 'Business Class' seat or extra for an emergency exit seat on the B757, they would then rock up at the airport to find a single class B738, having to do at least one fuel stop and no way of getting their money back because Globespan customer service was even less reliable than their B757s.
