Is City Airways goiing to fly?
Airline has had major problems due to the Thai DCA suspending the airlines AOC due to defects in maintenance and poor operations. New investor from main land China has taken a major stake in the airline. Operations have started again; however, the Thai DCA are keeping a careful eye on the overall operation to ensure improvement.
Half of the F/O’s have left due to wages always being late. The contract is worthless; you don’t get paid if you give notice before payday. Most crew are flying without contracts or work permits. Remaining aircraft on the fleet, HS GTE, is up for a D check early next year and no new aircraft are planned.
