Couldn't agree more with throwing the books at these idiots. 14 years sounds sensible to me.
I was lasered for the first time a few weeks ago, the captain was unaffected, but they caught me right in the eye. Really uncomfortable sensation the rest of the night in that eye.
In my mind it's the same as someone taking a swing for me. Except the coward is doing it when I'm miles away from him with no chance of retaliation.
