Whether iconic or not, as can be debated it is highly irrelevant. It's Iconic status has not delivered it profitable growth. The state of the airline calls out that price is now king and it puts itself in the exact same space as FR and EZY competing for the same passengers.
I think unless the management can identify and implement a strategy that takes them away from that space, the number will be up soon.
