While I agree with your last paragraph I did mention two potential aggressors.
Mutual interest or not, these things have to be paid for with taxpayers money AND there may (more like would be) different levels of resolve from Westminster depending on who had occupied a rig. If it were iS or similar I feel Westminster would see a common cause to defeat, but if it were the Russians the independent Scots may need to be told they had made their own bed and should get ready to be comfy in it.
All just theoretical stuff of course.
My view is that Scotland can clearly do well on its own, but not in a 'too much jam today, and too much jam forever' way the yes campaigners seem to be suggesting........especially with the large amount of as yet unknown items like currency union.
