Believe me, I want LTN to succeed as a regional airport and to be able to encourage new growth but having worked at the airport back in the 80's and 90's, the overall appearance to the general public, let alone workers, is that it is still "work in progress" as it was then. This trend will now continue for more months to come and there will surely (must) come a point when the work has to stop. All I say is this. Get it right this time so the airport can truly be where it deserves to be.
I agree that it's location goes against it in many respects and that STN was fortunate enough to have masses of land on which to build a new airport, but the people who now manage LTN must look to the future and one that does not include on going earth works, road works, and general upset to the paying public.
