Should Scotland stay or leave, the shores of the British Isles (what else would they be called) would need protection, in the interest of all inhabitants. Surely any rump UK Government wouldn't leave those vulnerable areas to the North in the hands of a weaker (Northern) neighbour? As an English inhabitant, I would certainly hope this would be so.
