Maybe the bypass won't be needed - Chevron cuts 220, Shell today announces today 250 jobs losses. TAQA looking to cut, Marathon tried to exit UKCS, Talisman are eventually exiting.
The North Sea costs have become far too high, & Aberdeen is starting to feel the pain - I suspect much more to come $100 oil or not. Costs have been allowed to spiral & no doubt salaries are part of that equation.
Looks like there will be plenty people on the jobs market soon to fill the supposed skills shortage.
Suddenly, all this commercial building around the airport & elsewhere in the city isn't such a sure thing?
