I wouldn't write off Eastern's chances of competing with Flybe on the EMA route too quickly. Crucially Eastern offer the frequency to cater for the business sector, which obviously, with their fare structure, is the market their service is aimed at.
There will obviously be some dilution of Eastern's pax numbers on the route, but to really hit them hard I would have thought Flybe would need to go at least double daily.
